Being 100% philanthropically supported, this mission is ours as much as it is yours, our donors, advocates, and supporters. our approach
A Culture of Entrepreneurial Stewardship
Every Shelter actively generates opportunities to lower our operational overhead in order to help every dollar donated serve our core customers and stakeholders: refugee families and communities.
We generate rental income by leasing office space to aligned organizations in our Houston headquarters, a building we own. Starting in 2026 we’ll have rental income from the space which will lower our officing costs by about 75%
We also earn revenue through Emergency Tarp, a novel product we make by taking recycled pvc billboard vinyls and converting them into a rapidly deployable, durable tarps for responding in disaster situations like hurricanes or other natural disasters. In 2025 alone we sold $160k worth of this product to fund our operations.
